The officer looted his vehicle after smelling marijuana and discovered a bag containing the substance under the driver’s seat along with a gun.
About two weeks after this interaction with law enforcement agencies, a police officer attempted to stop traffic in a vehicle that was driving Yazeed, according to court records. He could not stop and jumped with a medium grassy strip to another parking lot before jumping off the moving vehicle and fleeing into a wooded area. The officer caught him a short time later.
Police found about 3 grams of crack in the area where Yazeed was arrested. A search in the vehicle revealed 16 grams of marijuana and cigarette paper. He was subsequently charged with evasion, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of crack and possession of second-degree marijuana.
Yazeed was convicted but never served prison terms for the crimes.
